The Huntress boss in Remnant 2 is an optional encounter found in the Losomn Realm. You will find her in random locations of Losomn. She is a unique boss who is accompanied by a giant goat-like creature that serves as her ride. While she is not tied to the main quest line of Remnant 2, there are some great rewards for defeating her. The Huntress is one of the fastest bosses in the game and can seem like a handful, especially with the speed of her mount.
Remnant 2: The Huntress boss fight strategy
When you first encounter the Huntress boss in Remnant 2, she is found napping alongside her goat. You’ll have to make a lot of noise to wake the Huntress from her serene slumber. Attacking is the best way to grab her attention. Once provoked the Huntress wastes no time in mounting her Goat and launching her attack. The goat is quite agile and has a powerful horn charge that is meant to gore the opponent and launch them in the air. Needless to say, this attack can deal a lot of damage.
The head-on horn attack can be dodged with ease although you do require some timing. The second attack the goat possesses is a powerful stomp which is preceded by a timed gallop. This attack can also be dodged by rolling sideways, although timing can be somewhat difficult because of how quick this attack is.
The Huntress’s attacks are in tandem with the movement of the Goat. Her primary mode of attack is a long spear which she uses like a scythe. The long swinging motion of the spear is accompanied by a sideway rush from the Goat. You need to watch out for both the spear and the Goat’s rush to avoid this attack. The spear attack is often performed like a combo move with multiple swings from different angles all aimed at you. These strikes are more dangerous than the single swing. The swing covers a wide area often reaching the ground; so, if you are trying to dive, time it carefully.

There are two combo attacks that the duo performs which are executed from a distance. The first one is summoning ravens that follow a unique pattern of attack. While summoned right next to the Huntress, the birds fly a few feet above before launching a projectile-like attack. These attacks are swift and hard to dodge. You can kill the birds while they are airborne either immediately when summoned or when are preparing to attack.

The final attack is a long-range magic strike. Before the move, the Goat floats a little in the air like Appa from Avatar and a cloud of magic dust floats around it. The strike that follows is directed straight at you and is quite fast. This strike is easy to dodge if you watch for the floating move. This attack often features successive strikes which can land if you are jumping in the wrong direction.
The best way to attack the Huntress is by aiming either for the rider or the Goat and attacking continuously. There is no particular weak spot, although the head of the goat is the easiest target since the Huntress is constantly charging at you.
Rewards for beating the Huntress boss in Remnant 2
Defeating the Huntress gains you the Tome of Knowledge and one out of two possible spears depending on how and when you encounter her. If you encounter her before you have acquired the Dreamcatcher, which is the most common scenario if it is your first playthrough, you will engage her in the normal manner and get the Venerated Spearhead.
If you have already acquired the Dreamcatcher, then you can hit the Huntress with it, which will provide you with an item that can transport you to Briella’s Reprieve. With this approach, you will encounter her again in the realm, and defeating her will earn you the Sacred Hunt Feather. Since the game features a non-linear quest and world progression, your encounters with the Huntress boss in Remnant 2 can occur at different points in the game.
