The final chapter of Ourbound has a mostly linear map that helps us grab the collectibles on a single route instead of coming back to the spot later on. You will start off south of the map and move counterclockwise around the map to get to the center to complete the game. Let’s take a look at all the collectible items found in the Mountain map, chapter 4 of Outbound.
List of All Collectibles in Mountain (Chapter 4) in Outbound
Here we will cover 63 collectibles, a far shorter number than in Chapters 1, 2, and 3 of Outbound.
- x15 Campfires
It’s time to retire the Redwood log for our campfire item; you will find a new type of wood, Blossomwood logs. The campfire in the Mountain area can only be lit with Blossomwood. Make sure to find them around the map. To make it easier to find, level up the Axe to Lv. 4 to help you chop down the giant logs on the ground to get x5 Blossomwood per log.
- x20 Cairns
Since the route in the Mountains is pretty linear, you are also going to have an easier time tracking down Cairns on the cliffs. Compared to the Cairns tracking in all previous chapters, here you will be able to spot them easily in high places. Some of them are hidden well, but a bit of exploration will help you hunt their locations.
- x25 Gnome
Gnomes, just like Cairns, are easier to track down, thanks to the linear route. This map also features the Gnome maker location, where you will find a bunch of them, and you will also see the prototype of the Gnomes and more. I always wonder who made those Gnomes, when we don’t get to meet the maker, but we can see what they were working with all this time.
- x3 Paintings
Here, we just have to hunt for 3 paintings. By the time you reach the center of the map, you will have all three of them in your collection.
Since it’s the final chapter of the game, this is also the collectible hunt that comes to an end, so prepare to hear a lot of achievement or trophy popping sounds. Another thing to note is the ingredients you will find in this chapter, such as Pak Choi, Chrome Ore, Lotus Flower, Cherries, and Bamboo. While most of these ingredients are found in many places around the Mountain, Lotus Flower is only located north of the map, and you will have only a few of them spawning. So grab all of them before leaving the map.

All Campfire Locations in the Mountain Map
Chapter 4 introduces Blossomwood log, a new type of log required for many wood-related projects in this chapter. You will find them all throughout the map, and like you probably expected, you will need to have your Axe at Lv 4 to chop them down. While you can grab a small Blossomwood log, if you want to chop down a large one, you will need an Axe.
So, look for the blueprint in towers to find the details of the Axe upgrade. This is the fourth and final upgrade, and absolutely necessary to complete the game. On your way, you will also come across a broken bridge that requires Blossomwood Plank, which can only be crafted from Blossomwood logs.
Achievement Unlock: Getting all Campfires will earn you the trophy, “Shine Your Light On Me.“
All Cairns Locations in the Mountain Map
The linear route will help us find the Cairns way too easily compared to the first three chapters. After you make a little progress in the area by unfogging the map, get out of the van and look around before moving forward. In a linear route, this means you will have to cover far less ground instead of losing yourself in a large world. Less ground to cover will help you track down the Cairns in a shorter time.
Achievement Unlock: You will unlock the” Cairnivore” achievement for stacking all the rocks in every Cairn (90 of them) in all four maps.

All Gnomes Locations in the Mountain Map
The linear structure of Chapter 4 also complements Gnome hunting, as most of the Gnomes are placed in plain sight. As long as you look under every table and rock, you will always be going to find them. This chapter is special, as there are so many additional side quests, which makes finding them even easier than in the previous chapters.
Achievement Unlock: Collecting all 100 Gnomes will unlock “Gnome Sweet Gnome.”
All Painting Locations in the Mountain Map
You will find 3 paintings on the map, nothing special about any one of them, even if you miss them, you can come back later to grab and add it to your collection.
Achievement Unlock: You will get the trophy Camper Van Gogh for collecting all 15 paintings in all four maps.

Hopefully, you will have Pak Choi, Chrome Ore, Lotus Flower, Cherries, and Bamboo in your inventory by now; if you haven’t, then collect these materials before leaving the area. Now head back to Chapter 3, Canyon map by exiting the Mountain map and going back to Coast, Chapter 2 map. Then take the route at the top-right to enter the Canyon map.
Here, head to the Research Center, located at the top-right of the map, in the middle of the desert biome, and add the collected ingredients from the Mountain map: Pak Choi, Chrome Ore, Lotus Flower, Cherries, and Bamboo. And you will unlock the final Gnome in the game, popping the achievement, Gnome Sweet Gnome.
