If you have reached the end-game of Pixel Lineage, then you are definitely searching for Dungeon Keys to farm money, items, and enemies. Currently, there are three Dungeon Keys in the game, and each one corresponds to a unique dungeon. These keys grant you access to these unique dungeons and can only be obtained through one method: Nightmare difficulty runs.
How To Get All Dungeon Keys in Pixel Lineage
Currently, there is only one known method to get Dungeon Keys in the game. You need to complete runs on Nightmare difficulty to get these keys occasionally as random drops.
Fortunately, you do not have to farm during any one particular stage. They have a chance of dropping during any act. In my experience, the hard part is not getting the keys themselves, since the drop rates do not seem to be too low. However, completing the nightmare difficulty can be a major hurdle for lots of players.
What Do Dungeon Keys Do in Pixel Lineage
The three Dungeon Keys each pertain to their respective dungeon. These are:
- Sakura Garden Key: Japanese Garden
- Silverback Key: Emerald Jungle
- Lionheart Key: Lionheart Citadel
Once you get a key, you can enter the corresponding dungeon mentioned above.
Before using a key, I would also advise you to check its Land Level. This stat determines how much loot you will get from that dungeon. A higher Land Level means more loot. This can help you plan your runs better.
How To Make Dungeon Keys Better in Pixel Lineage
You get an item called Blighted Slime from completing a Torment level. This item is used to upgrade your keys and make a Torment Dungeon of that same level of Torment. For example: If you complete a level 30 Torment run, then you will get a level 35 Blighted Slime. This can then convert one of the three keys into a Tormented Key, which will let you enter the dungeon.
Although this does make the difficulty of the dungeon much harder, the payoff is definitely worth it, if you succeed. The new Tormented Dungeon that is created carries over the stat multipliers from the Torment level. This results in you getting much more loot, at the cost of defeating much harder enemies with a lot more attack and health.
Lastly, you can also get Tormented items from these new dungeons, which would not have been possible earlier. In the end, the decision is yours on whether to make a Tormented Dungeon or attempt a normal one.
