Season Pass Free Rewards
The best and fastest way to get free Bright Dust in Destiny 2 is by claiming it as a free reward every 10 levels in the Season Pass. Claiming the special Bright Engrams in the Season Pass also gives you a chance to earn up to 1000 Bright Dust with each of them.
Seasonal Challenges
Seasonal challenges are all free-to-play (excluding Trails of Osiris), and they award you with upwards of 300 Bright Dust each and more based on the difficulty you complete them. If you complete all the Seasonal Challenges, you could potentially earn 6000+ Bright Dust.

Weekly Challenge Bounties
Doing Weekly challenges from Vendors like Commander Zavala, The Drifter, etc. will reward you with 120 Bright dust. A weekly challenge requires you to complete 8 bounty missions. Even after the weekly challenge is over, additional bounty competition will reward you 10 Bright Dust each. This makes it the most farmable method to get Bright Dust.
Eververse Engrams
Opening Eververse Engrams from the Eververse store can sometimes give you a “Gift of Bright Dust”. There are the 3 types of gifts you can get:
- Small Gift of Bright Dust: 250 BD
- Medium Gift of Bight Dust: 500 BD
- Huge Gift of Bright Dust: 1000 BD
Event Bounties
Once every season, an event occurs, like Guardian Games, Solstice, Festival of the Lost and the Dawning. During these events, Eva Levante will have two weekly bounties which will give you 200 Bright Dust each on completion.
