The Outpost Cell Key is an important item that you can find fairly early on in Phantom Blade Zero. As its name implies, this key is used to open the locked Outpost Cell in the Weeping Creek Valley. This cell holds quite a valuable collectible inside, which can even boost Soul’s attack and guard break permanently. I will show you where to find the locked cell, its key, and what treasure it holds inside.
Where Is The Outpost Cell in Phantom Blade Zero
You can reach the Outpost Cell by progressing through the main story mission until you reach the Weeping Creek Valley Outpost in the Against the Flow mission. This acts as your first ‘hub’ area, where lots of NPCs are stationed. The gate to this Valley will be locked, and to its left, there will be a small ditch leading underground. The locked cell door will be right there, blocking your advance.
Phantom Blade Zero: How and Where To Get The Outpost Cell Key
Talk to the guards next to the Outpost gate, and they will grant you access to the Outpost itself. Once inside, talk to the many NPCs to get various side quests, and pick up anything valuable you see. Afterwards, head to the save point inside the Outpost and ring the bell. This will reveal the surrounding area’s map and give you a fixed point to follow for the path ahead.
From this save point, follow the direction indicated in the images above and below.
- Head straight up the stairs and walk through the marked gate.
- Here, take the first turn right, and follow it up to the small house.
- Next to the house, there will be a flight of stairs leading upwards to another level.
The Outpost Cell Key will be right in front of you, glowing with an unmissable orange light. Now, take this key back to the locked Cell door, and use this key to open it.
What Do You Get From Opening the Outpost Cell Door in Phantom Blade Zero?
You get a Blackstone Fragment as your reward for finding and using this key. Once you get four of these fragments, they combine and boost Soul’s attack and guard break. So, it is definitely a useful item that will prove useful in your journey ahead.
