Crests in Hollow Knight: Silksong are the foundation of your builds that will help you explore the haunted kingdom of Pharloom. These Crests enhance your abilities, provide special buffs, while also allow you to attach the best tools in the game that will assist you in exploration and combat.
One such Crest you can find in the game is the Reaper Crest. It is the best Crest in the game as it helps you gain more Silk in combat and lets you attach one tool from every color code, namely Yellow, Red, and Blue. This means you can heal faster, spam abilities more often, and enter combat in a much balanced state than normal.
How Can I Get The Reaper Crest In Hollow Knight: Silksong
The Reaper Crest can be collected from the Chapel of the Reaper in Greymoor in Hollow Knight: Silksong. This area can be found much later in the game after you have gone through some of the initial locations such as The Marrow, Deep Docks, and Far Fields. The enemies in this area are much more aggressive, which adds to the difficulty of Hollow Knight: Silksong.
Locating the Chapel of the Reaper shouldn’t be too hard, as you’ll come across it as you explore Greymoor. However, if you’re having trouble, then the first location you need to find is Halfway Home, which is a lodging in Greymoor. Once you find this place, you’ll then keep moving to the west, and you’ll come across the Reaper Chapel.
Once inside the Chapel of the Reaper, drop down and then go up a Ferris wheel. As soon as you do that, you’ll then face an ambush with quite a bunch of enemies. These enemies aren’t different from what you have faced so far in Greymoor, but the closed space does make the combat a bit difficult. Once you defeat them, keep going upwards and you’ll find the Reaper Crest.
How To Use The Reaper Crest In Hollow Knight: Silksong
Using the Reaper Crest is no different from any other Crest you might have come across in the game. All you need to do is find a resting Bench and then equip it from the menu. It is similar to how you equip Tools and Skills. Once equipped you’ll be able to attach your favorite tools to it.
The necessary benefits associated with the Reaper Crest is activated the moment you put it on. This includes the ability to attach one tool of three different color codes and the ability to gain additional Silk. However, be wary that with the Reaper Crest your attacks become a bit slower, though that one negative is outweighed by the positives it provides in Hollow Knight: Silksong.
