The best way to utilize the Zimmerman shotgun on such a mech would be to dual-wield. The DF-AR-09 TIAN-LAO arm units are best suited for the shotgun.

The Zimmerman shotgun is a boon granted to you quite early in the game. Plasma The weapon gets unlocked after you finish the Ocean Crossing mission at the end of chapter 2. The mission itself will demand a lighter build capable of maneuvering quickly and possibly even hovering. Once you’ve completed the mission you’ll find the Zimmerman shotgun unlocked in the shop. Zimmerman vs. Sweet Sixteen
Zimmerman is the ideal shotgun for the entire playthrough with only one aspect that should make you reconsider it. The WR-0777 is the only rival shotgun that can take on the Zimmerman Shotgun in Armored Core 6. Codenamed Sweet Sixteen, the WR-0777 is not technically a shotgun but deals the same kind of damage with a shorter range befitting one.
What sets the Sweet Sixteen apart is the higher attack power and incredibly low cost of purchase. Furthermore, this shotgun is also unlocked after the same mission as the Zimmerman shotgun in Armored Core 6. So, it comes down to a choice between close range/greater firepower and all range/moderate firepower.
