The new Palworld 1.0 update has added over 70 new pals to the game, each being more unique than the other. There are plenty of best pals that you can set up for your game. But there are still those from the existing games that should be on your radar, especially if you are starting a new game.
One such pal, introduced in the Feybreak 2024 December expansion, is Xenolord; a rideable mount that has a great partner skill. Here in this guide, we will take a look at what makes this pal so special and how to get one.
Xenolord in Palworld 1.0

We will get Xenolord by hatching an egg via an incubator. The specific egg we are going to hatch comes from defeating the Xenolord boss. We will have to complete plenty of tasks to get to the boss fight.

Crafting Requirement

Here are the two items you must craft to get the Xenolord summoning.
- Pal Expedition Station: Allows you to enter expeditions for good item drops.
- Crafting Req: Wooden Board x10/ Stone x100/ Paldium Fragment x20/ Cement x20
It’s available under the Technology tree, in Tier No. 22.
- Summoning Altar: Here we offer the slab to the altar to summon the boss.
- Crafting Req: Stone x100 and Paldium Fragment x20
Summoning Altar is found under Ancient Technology under the Technology tree in Tier No. 33.
Start Expedition for Xenolord Slab Fragment

Build the Pal Expedition Station to start our Expeditions. Here, we are looking for expeditions that can reward us with Xenolord Slab Fragments. Unfortunately, we are going to find it under the High Risk Category section of Pal Expeditions. Notably, there are three expeditions that offer the Xenolord Slab Fragment as a reward drop. These three are:
- Celestial Sakura Cavern (High Risk)– Duration – 1 Hour/Recommended Firepower 375,000/Required Type – Water
- Dark Cave of Feybreak (High Risk) – Duration – 1 Hour/Recommended Firepower 476,000/Required Type – Dark
- Sunreach Isle (High Risk) -Duration – 1 Hour/Recommended Firepower 579,000/Required Type – Dragon
Tip: Gather more firepower than the recommended firepower per expedition to raise the reward drop chance.
You can check the item drops for the expeditions on the right panel of the Pal Expedition menu. Here you will see the list of all the drops you will get after completing it.
Craft Xenolord Slab

Here we will craft the Xenolord Slab.
Now start the expeditions and complete them, which will take you around an hour, and you will finally get the Xenolord Slab Fragment schematic as a reward. Now it’s time to use the Xenolord Slab Fragment to craft Xenolord Slab via an Ancient Workbench. Do note you will need Xenolord Slab Fragment x4 to craft a single Xenolord Slab (Epic Consumable).
Summon and Defeat The Xenolord Boss

Now we will use the Xenolord Slab to summon the Xenolord boss.
Now build the Summoning Altar and offer the Xenolord Slab we crafted via an Ancient Workbench. Offering the slab will summon the Xenolord boss. You have the choice to pick the area for summoning: base or raid area.
- Base Summon: If you summon Xenolord in your base, then the entire boss fight will carry on within your base. Do note that it will damage the structures.
- Raid Area: If you choose Raid Area, then you will be taken to the raid area to fight the Xenolord boss. If you fail to pick up any items, it will get lost once you leave the raid area. After the battle, you will immediately exit the raid area.
I recommend taking the battle to the raid area to minimize the damage to the structures around your base. But make sure to grab everything before ending the fight, or you will lose them all.
Xenolord is a Level 65 boss with 1.4 million HP. You have 10 minutes to defeat the boss. The timer will start ticking the second the boss fight begins in the raid area. Defeat the boss, and you will get a Huge Dark Egg (Legendary Pal Egg) and Xenolord Ultra Slab (Legendary Consumable)as a reward.
Now hatch the Huge Dark Egg via the Incubator to get Xenolord as a reward. If you want to test your skills, use the Xenolord Ultra Slab to fight a tougher Uber version of Xenolord boss to get more items. To ride Xenolord, you will need to craft Xenolord Saddle via Technology Level 60 by spending Leather x30/ Dark Fragment x50/ Meteor Fragment x30/ Paldium Fragment x200.
