Basim’s journey starts as a mere thief on the streets of Anbar before he eventually becomes a trained assassin and joins the Hidden Ones in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. One of the very first missions he encounters is ‘The Master Thief of Anbar’ where his skills are tested to steal the ledger required for its completion.
Now you as Basim need to figure out how to successfully steal the ledger and we are here to help you along the way. Here’s how you can get this mission done quickly.
Where To Find The Ledger In AC Mirage
The ledger can be found inside a locked door on the second floor of the small guard outpost marked in your map in Anbar. The Master Thief of Anbar quest is immediately updated with your current objectives after you have a chat with Dervis and he instructs you to steal the ledger from this guarded area.
To unlock the door containing your ledger, you first need to locate and then eliminate the guard holding the key. Here are the steps you need to follow:
- Spot the locked door holding the ledger inside and use your Eagle Vision to scan the area for enemies and treasures.
- You will find enemy guards highlighted with red, and find out that one of them has a key icon above their head.
- Sneak your way towards the guard holding the key, making sure others are not alerted. (You can also eliminate guards while making your way toward the key to be safe)
- Climb up the vines of the building containing the guard with the key and then climb down from the other side.
- Eliminate the guard holding the building’s entrance before entering.
- Climb up the ladder inside to spot the guard with the spear holding the key to the ledger door.
- Once you have eliminated the guard and taken the key, unlock the ledger door to get your prize.

Keep in mind that stealth will be a really important factor while you are exploring this guard outpost in AC Mirage. I’d suggest to fully utilize your Eagle Vision, lay low, and eliminate any threat detecting your presence before they alert others to get through this area easily.
After you have collected the ledger, you can make your way back to Dervis to move forward with the Anbar mission.
