Whether you’re solo or playing co-op with a friend, Granblue Fantasy Relink gives you a chance to pick and choose between 20 playable characters in the game. So, to make your favorite character the main choice, you need to switch them in your party.
How Do I Switch Characters In Granblue Fantasy Relink?
To switch characters in Granblue Fantasy Relink, go to the Main Menu and select the ‘Party’ option to edit your battling party. The new tab will let you rearrange the positions of the characters in your party and give you the option to remove them as well.
If you want to make a particular character “active”(a.k.a player controlled), keep that character in the first slot in your party. In single-player mode, you will be able to add up to four characters in the party, but one out of the four will always be occupied by your main, Gran or Djeeta.
Note: You cannot remove Gran or Djeeta from your party during the main storyline. You can only remove them after the endgame has been achieved.

The character you choose as your active character in the game will be the one who appears in all the cutscenes and battles till you change the party once again. You also cannot change your active character during battles. Changes can only be made when you are unoccupied and not doing any missions in Relink.
How To Change Gran and Djeeta In Granblue Fantasy Relink?
If you want to change your main character Gran or Djeeta and switch between the two amidst missions and cutscenes, you need to go to your ‘Party’, select the Captain, and click on the Customization option to change your main to their male or female counterparts.
New characters can also be added to your party by using their crewmate cards found throughout the main story. So, keep an eye out and collect all to get the best characters in Granblue Fantasy Relink.
