How To Take Down The Strider In Armored Core 6

You encounter one of the most epic and cinematic missions, when you are tasked with taking down the Mining Ship known as the Strider in Armored Core 6. This is a huge walking machine roaming the Bona Dea Dunes of the planet Rubicon. Being a key military asset of the Rubicon Liberation Front, it is equipped with a giant laser weapon on the very top of it so that it can defend itself against any attacks. As one of the best AC pilots out there, you will have to take this behemoth down single-handedly.

So, let’s take a look at how you can go about taking down the Strider in Armored Core 6 and experiencing this cinematic fight for yourself.

How to defeat the Strider in Armored Core 6

Upon arriving at the Bona Dea Dunes at the start of this mission, you will have to head straight and make contact with the Strider in Armored Core 6. You will meet some hostile MT units along the way but you will soon be attacked by the giant blue laser coming straight from the Strider itself.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how you can go about closing the distance to the strider and eventually taking it down:

1. As you make your way closer to the Strider, it will fire a blue laser at you which can kill you in one or two hits at most. However, you can see this laser attack coming at you from a distance as it travels in a straight line towards you. You need to perform a dodge, also known as QB (Quick Burst), with your thrusters just before it reaches you. Keep doing this while you close your distance to the Strider.

   

2. Once you are close enough to the Strider, you will need to take a part of the Strider down by shooting the exposed weak spot on one of its legs. Use your rockets and melee attack on this area for the fastest results.

   

3. After this, a part of the Strider will now be on the ground. Use this structure and climb it to reach the section of the Strider that is still walking.

   

4. From here, there are 4 sub-generators that you will need to take down to defeat the Strider in Armored Core 6. Two of these sub-generators are on either side of the Strider. One of them is below under the belly of the Strider and one is on top of the Strider.
5. Use the platforms placed around the Strider to navigate your way to these generators one by one and destroy them. It is advised you destroy the top sub-generator last as this one is most exposed to the giant laser which you will need to fight right after you destroy all of them.

   

6. Once all 4 sub-generators are destroyed, head for the giant laser. This will work like a boss fight where you will need to dodge its laser similar to the first step of this guide. Keep attacking it while dodging the laser using QB until it is destroyed.

   

7. After destroying it, jump off the Strider and make sure you are far enough as the giant behemoth will now explode and come crashing down on the ground.
