When you are out exploring in space, sometimes you will find something more unique than asteroids and debris in Starminer. While you can extract many materials from the asteroids, sometimes you will come across empty ships, and you have the option to capture them and make them yours. When you possess an abandoned ship, you are also adopting all of its flaws. And the very first flaw is the absence of power; a ship without an Energy Grid will not be able to power up anything in the ship. Here is how to transfer power or Energy between ships.
How to Send Energy Between Ships in Starminer

In Starminer, we can only transfer energy between two ships by using the Send Energy and Receive Energy features. Suffice to say, you will need the ship with power to send the energy to the ship without one. I know you are probably asking why even bother. If you want your new ship to have all the bells and whistles, then you must provide energy, or it will not be able to construct any module on the base.
When you find an abandoned ship without anything powering up the ship or sending any energy, the abandoned ship will stay useless. For this example, I will send the energy from Restorer 7 to DS-Refine. Here, Restorer 7 has the Energy Grid to bring power, and DS-Refine doesn’t have it.
Send Energy
Here, I will choose the ship Restorer 7 for its in-built Energy Grid installed on its system, allowing the spread of energy to every part of the ship, and that includes the construction.
- Possess Restorer 7: Select Hulk Core Node> Right-Click> click on the Setting Icon Option> select the Management category> and now choose Send Energy.
The very first part is done; now it’s time to receive energy from the sending ship.

Receive Energy
Now that we have selected the ship Restorer 7 that we will use to send in the energy, it’s time to choose the ship with a lack of energy, which is DS-Refine for this example. You can keep track of the energy from the panel on the left.
- Possess DS-Refine: Select Hulk Core Node on the second ship (The receiver)> head to Settings> then Management> now choose the Receive Energy option.
Note: Both T1 and T2 Hulk Core Nodes are capable of sending and receiving energy.
That’s it, now every time you come across an empty ship in Starminer, clear the debris and mine the asteroids, and then transfer the energy between the ships to start working on them. Once this is done, you can then also use the option to trade between ships in Starminer to manage materials that, in the normal course, you might have been required to throw away.
