Jayber is one of the most versatile Descendants in The First Descendant, with an arsenal of healing and damage-dealing abilities in his toolkit. This S-Tier Descendant is a strong choice for both solo players and those who want to play with their friends and lend support to take down mobs and bosses easily.
There are two ways to unlock Jayber in the game, and we’ll cover both of them in this guide. Let’s get started.
Unlocking Jayber through Albion’s Research Institute
For F2P players who don’t want to spend any real money on The First Descendent, the only way to unlock Jayber (an S-Tier Descendant) is through the Research Institute located in Albion. After you get through the opening segment, you’ll arrive at Albion, the main hub of the game.

Unlocking Jayber Using Caliber
Alternatively, you can unlock Jayber spending 600 Calibers, the in-game currency in The First Descendant. Of course, this involves spending real money, so free-to-play gamers might not find this method all too appealing.
Then again, unlocking Jayber using Caliber will allow you to equip him immediately eliminating any other cost or wait time that comes with it.
