After spending a few hours in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, you’ll eventually make your way to Gestral Village, an important stop in the story where you’re asked to participate in the Arena. Around this point, you’ll also stumble across a door leading to a new part of The Manor — the Kitchen. This guide will show you how to solve the puzzle and get into the Kitchen.
How to Get Into the Kitchen

Once you step into the village, take the uphill path straight ahead. When you reach the main clearing, instead of pushing forward, turn right and head down the side path where the pink and green Gestrals roam. Keep walking and you’ll soon spot a warning sign that says “Turn Back.” Ignore it, climb the next hill, and you’ll find a doorway watched over by a Gestral. Fortunately, he’s just standing guard and won’t get in your way.

Beyond that door lies the Kitchen. Right as you enter, you can unlock a door behind you that reconnects this area to The Manor’s first floor, right near the main entrance. Once that’s done, head deeper inside, because there’s a puzzle waiting that hides a few valuable secrets.
Solving the Kitchen Puzzle
To open the hidden passage in the Kitchen, you’ll need to interact with three specific objects scattered around the room.
Faceless Bust

The first object you’re looking for sits immediately to the right after you enter. It’s a bust — a statue — but it’s missing its face. Interact with it, and you’ll feel the entire room tremble slightly, indicating something behind the scenes has shifted.
Candle Stand

After that, move toward the left side of the Kitchen, close to the locked back door. Look for two candle holders placed near each other on the ground next to some scattered pots and pans. Find the smaller one and rotate it to continue progressing the puzzle.
Hanging Pans

Finally, swing back toward the large table loaded with pies. Above it, three pans are hanging on the wall. The middle one can be flipped upside down — do that, and the hidden mechanism will fully unlock.

Once all three objects have been activated, a small passage will reveal itself along the left wall, tucked away among stacks of crates and barrels. You might have to look carefully to spot it. Crawl through and you’ll land in a hidden section of the Kitchen. Inside, you’ll come across a strange sight: a Gestral lying on the floor, balancing a tiny cake on its belly, with an absurdly massive ham sitting nearby — easily the biggest in the game.

Keep exploring and you’ll find a small hole in the wall just past the Gestral. Crawl through, and in the next room, crack open the large box tucked in the corner. Inside, you’ll pick up a Shape of Energy, which can upgrade your Energy Tint. Before leaving, don’t miss the nearby pile of boxes. Smash them open to uncover another hidden spot where you can grab a new hairstyle for Maelle.
From here, you’ll find two staircases: one that leads to a dead-end for now (you’ll return there later in the story), and another that loops you right back into the main part of the Kitchen, completing the full circle of this hidden puzzle.
