How To Check Humanity In Lies of P
Checking with Spring, studying the Portrait of a Boy, and game indications are the three ways to check P’s Humanity in Lies of P. The Humanity level can determine how much more you need to increase your level to get the desired ending in the game.
Spring
Spring is an orange tabby cat that resides in Hotel Krat and is not fond of puppets at all. Initially, he will hiss at P (you) indicating your Humanity is not high enough to be acknowledged by Spring.
But after you have uttered enough lies and done humane activities, Spring will start recognizing you and become affectionate. At the highest Humanity Level, you will be able to pick up Spring and pet him.
Portrait Of A Boy
You can find the Portrait of a Boy at the end of Chapter V inside the Malum District Town Hall. Once you hand the portrait to Geppetto, he will hang it inside his study in Hotel Krat for your ease of access.
Staying true to the story of Pinocchio, the portrait will start growing a twig near the boy’s nose the more lies you tell in the game. This sprout can indicate your Humanity level and give you a general idea of where it stands.

Game Indication
Game Indications are more of a sure-shot way to ensure your humanity is increasing in Lies of P. With every “Humanity” affected action in the game, it will prompt you with a text that lets you know the level of your humanity. The prompts are as follows:
- Level 1 – Your Springs are reacting
- Level 2 – The Ergo is whispering
- Level 3 – You feel Warmth
- Level 4 – Your heart is pounding
How Do I Increase Humanity In Lies of P?
Your humanity depends on the actions you perform in Lies of P. Puppets tend to be emotionless, so any action that shows your emotion can increase Humanity. To increase them you either have to lie, listen to records, answer Arlecchino’s riddles, or perform some of the miscellaneous activities in the game.
Lying
During dialogue scenarios in every Chapter of the game, P will have the choice to lie or tell the truth. Lying will increase his humanity and result in different NPC-centered quests in Lies of P. If your goal is not to increase his humanity, you can also opt out of choosing the lie.
Listening to Records
