Mutated Eggs in Palworld 1.0
Like most unique eggs, you can increase your chances of obtaining a Mutated Egg by feeding your Pals specialised cakes. Extravagant Vegetable Cake is the best cake to use here, as Pals who consume it will have a 2%-3% increased chance of dropping Mutated Eggs. After crafting these cakes, just drop them off in the feeding box at the breeding pen and wait for a while.

Best Way to Get Mutated Eggs
Personally, I had better luck in getting at least 1 Mutated Egg per breeding cycle using the Ancient Hatchery. Just hook up two parent Pals to the machine, and you will automatically get 10x eggs. If you have several Extravagant Vegetable Cakes at hand, then you are guaranteed to get at least 1x Mutated Egg per batch. I also had a Dinossom roam my base, as this shortens the egg incubation period by 20%.
Mutated Eggs & All Passive Skills
Mutated Eggs have a chance of hatching a Pal with enhanced stats and an increased rank, and they also come with an Alpha status. The Pal you get from a mutated egg will take traits from the two parents and will have a unique mutated passive skill. Below are the passive skills an offspring that hatches from a mutated egg will carry at random.

| Skymarcher | Increases Pal’s defense and becomes immune to burn and poison. Mounts will have extra jumps. |
If you are looking for a Pal to take over some of the heavy-duty work from the get-go without the hassle of condensing Pals, then trying Mutated Eggs is worth it. The only downside is that it might take several tries and resources to get this unique egg.
