Survival depends on your reflexes and instincts when you are playing PEAK, and with the Final Ascent update added to the game this week, it can get quite tricky to get the Jester Badge, as it requires you to explore tight spots on the map. Getting the badge is not difficult for mechanical reasons, but it comes down to spotting the correct luggage before your time runs out in the expedition.
In this guide, I will explain the exact requirements for the Jester Badge and how to track it down.
How to Open 3 Clown Luggage in a Single Expedition in PEAK
The Jester Badge will unlock once you have opened three separate Clown Luggage boxes. The biggest problem, of course, is the fact that these are random spawns. So, what worked today for me, may not be the exact spots where these turn up the next day for you.
However, thankfully, these do have pretty distinct and identifiable visual cues. Look for luggage that is marked with a clown face on it.
While there are no fixed locations for the Clown Luggage, I found them in the Roots and Citadel biomes, and I have detailed out the locations below. I would suggest that you at least give these locations and nearby places a shot – and see if you are able to get at least 1 spawn from the three.
All three pieces of luggage must come from the same run. If you open one and die or extract, opening the two on the next runs won’t count, and you won’t get your achievement.
Be careful before you open this luggage, as some of them may contain dynamite and can damage you seriously, or even kill you depending on your health bar. Opening a Clown Luggage in PEAK can offer you items like Lollipop, Cannon, and Balloon Bunch; hence, searching the luggage can actually be worthwhile.
Clown Luggage Possible Locations in PEAK

I found my first Clown Luggage in ROOTS. It is located on the rightmost side of the island, and if you are doing the Scoutmaster challenge, it might be easier for you to get hold of this particular luggage.

I found the next two after crossing ALIPNE and GLOOM, and after arriving in The Citadel. The luggage hunt in this one got a little tricky. As I made my way up in The Citadel, I found the first Clown Luggage inside The Citadel, hidden between two platforms that are on top of each other. You can get between the platforms and open it.

I found the final one towards the end of the climb, in between a platforming section. If you are unfortunate like me, you can get hit by the swinging rocks, forcing you to make the climb again; be mindful of them.
Tips for Getting the Jester Badge Faster

While it looks tempting to get the three Clown Luggage, it can get quite tiring if you and your group keep failing the runs. Hence, if you just want the Jester Badge and the achievement fast, I recommend doing the following:
- Go solo, as going for luggage is faster that way, especially when you have to explore under a time limit.
- Play on Tenderfoot difficulty, as it removes the time pressure and gives you more room to comb the biome.
- Don’t forget to bring traversal tools such as a Glider or Rope, as they can help you reach luggage that is tucked in out-of-the-way spots.
What Do You Get for the Jester Badge?
After you get the Jester Badge, you unlock the Jester Outfit alongside a Jester Hat. This is a complete cosmetic set that was newly added to PEAK with the Final Ascent update. After the achievement registers, you can confirm the badge under the Accolades menu in your Passport.
And that sums up everything about the Jester Badge in PEAK. My recommendation is to be patient and not rush the climb, as you risk dying, which forces you to restart the run.
