Phantom Liberty Spy in the Jungle Location
The Spy in the Jungle side gig can be found in Pacifica of Dogtown and starts after completing “The Damned” main story mission in Phantom Liberty. As you make your way to the gig’s green marker on the Night City map, Mr. Hands will contact you and ask you to speak to Ana and Steven, the two Brazilian Agents working for Brazilian intelligence.
How to Complete Spy in the Jungle Side Gig in Phantom Liberty?
To complete the Spy in the Jungle mission in Phantom Liberty, you will need to locate Mark Bana, fight off some scavs, defeat Ribakov, and even strike a deal with Katya for Bana’s Biomonitors.
Here are the steps for the entire walkthrough:
Meet the Agents
After speaking with the Fixer you will need to find Steven and Ana, the two agents that have recruited you for this job. You will find them in room 203 of Paradise Hotel and they will inform you of Mark Bana’s alleged whereabouts.
It seems Mark Bana’s signals are coming from the worn-down Museum Organitopia located in Terra Cognita. You can fast-travel to Longshore Stacks and start walking south to reach the glass building.
Enter Organitopia
When you find the entrance to Organitopia, you can go through a small hole in the gate but beware of the three scavs protecting the entrance. You can either kill these enemies or sneak past them. Once you reach the scav standing in front of a metal shutter, get rid of him and pry the shutters open. Then make your way to the authorization terminal on the right and interact.
This will prompt Mark Bana to contact you and he will reveal that he is currently hiding in the main museum hall. Now, head over to that location.
Go to the Main Museum Hall
The Main Museum Hall is quite a dangerous location and is filled with enemies, landmines, and traps. You can either get rid of the scavs or try to sneak past them. Also, remember to scan the area near you whenever you are moving to detect landmines.
There will also be hackable cameras, and computers around the area as well as a hackable landmine upstairs, which are perfectly suited for your Phantom Liberty Netrunner build. You can also use cyberhacks to get rid of the sniper threatening your life.
The mission marker will lead you to a door that can be force-opened if you have 12 attribute points in Body or scanned if not. The area behind the door will also have many hackable terminals, tons of enemies, and turrets in the scene.
Dispose of them as you please and head to the double doors to face Boris Ribakov in an epic boss fight.
Defeat Boris Ribakov
You can trigger the boss fight by trying to leave the area using the staircase’s back doors. Armed with smoke grenades, a sniper, and his invisibility perks, Boris Ribakov can be an easy opponent to beat if you have the right strategies for this battle.
To get the upper hand in this fight, you will need to scan and tag Boris when he breaks his invisibility while firing his gun. Now you can see his movements even while he is invisible. To counter his sniper shots, pull out your own sniper and give him a taste of his own medicine.
When his health is down to 65%, he will call for Griffin Drones and initiate Phase 2 of the battle. Get rid of these drones by using the Short Circuit hack and some grenades which will trigger the final phase of the battle.
In the final phase, Ribakov will clone himself to confuse you, which you can counter by tagging the original one. Get rid of the clones with grenades and keep shooting at Ribakov to take him down.
After defeating him, you can get the Iconic SMG Pizdets, and some data shards on his person.
Find Mark Bana
When you head upstairs to find Mark Bana, you will find the place to be completely empty. Scan to find the hidden door and go through it to reveal Bana’s death. You will also find Katya holding Bana’s biomonitors hiding in the room.
Katya Choice: Kill Her or Let Her Go?
After a long chat with Katya, it is revealed that she was the one interrogating Mark Bana but claims to have zero involvement in his death. She will request to spare her life while Ana wants her dead.
- Kill Katya – If you kill Katya, you will miss out on a new side gig and lose the chance to find her stash of valuables.
- Spare Katya – If you spare Katya, a new side mission called “Money for Nothing” will trigger and you will also get the coordinates to Katya’s stash.
So, it is better to let Katya go and take the biomonitor to the agents.
Deliver the Biomonitor
While making it out of the room, you will receive a text from Steven requesting you to drop off the biomonitor at a nearby drop point. You can drop off the biomonitor there or take it to Ana at Paradise Hotel.
Give Biomonitor to Ana or Steven?
If you decide to give the biomonitor to Ana, Mr. Hands will reward you with 6000 Eddies whereas choosing Steven will grant you only 4000 Eddies. So, if it’s strictly the money you are after, it is better to choose Ana in this situation.
Spy in the Jungle Gig Rewards
Although both choices grant the same XP and Street Creds, choosing Ana yields you 2000 more Eurodollars instead of the Steven choice. If you also have chosen to spare Katya, her stash will have 17,500 Eddies, a Tier 5 face gear, and a shard.
