Remnant 2 sets itself apart from other games by providing unique experiences to each player’s playthrough using multiple possible bosses, choices, and outcomes of said choices. Choosing between Faelin or Faerin in Remnant 2 is one such choice that will result in you getting entirely different rewards.
Let’s take a look at what the outcomes of each of these choices are, and which reward aligns more with your character build.
Should you fight Faelin or Faerin in Remnant 2?
Faelin and Faerin are bosses that can be found in Losomn as the final bosses of the area. This location can be accessed after inserting the Faelin and Faerin Mural Masks at Beatific Palace or Malefic Palace depending on your playthrough.
Depending on which door you go through here, you will either face Faelin or Faelin. Fortunately, you can still go back and switch between both before choosing to fight one of them. Both of these bosses will insist that you kill the other one when you meet them and it will be up to you to decide.
When deciding whether to fight Faelin or Faerin in Remnant 2, the main thing to consider is which reward item will be more beneficial to you. Both of the bosses are equally difficult to defeat; so, the reward is really your only concern.
What happens if you choose to kill Faelin?
Between Faelin or Faerin in Remnant 2, if you choose to fight and kill Faelin, you will get the Imposters Heart as a drop. This is a crafting material that can be used to craft a powerful Long Gun called Deceit. This gun has a unique weapon mod that protects you from melee damage when activated.
You can also get Faerin’s Sigil by informing Faerin about the death of Faelin and receiving it from them. This ring enhances critical and weak spot damage while generating an additional 10% mod power with each successful hit.
What happens if you choose to kill Faerin?
If you decide to kill Faerin instead of Faelin, you will get the Melded Hilt as a drop after defeating them. This is another type of crafting material that can be used to craft the Godsplitter which is a powerful sword. This one has a weapon mod that marks opponents who then take additional damage from the next hit of the weapon.
Informing Faelin about killing Faerin will also grant you Faelin’s Sigil ring. This has the same properties as the previous one, 10% additional mod power on critical and weak spot hits.
That is all you need to know when deciding whether to kill Faelin or Faerin in Remnant 2. Both the rewards can be fun and aid you in your journey, but it might be better to choose the one that works better for your Remnant 2 archetype and build.
