The purple orbs in Void Vessel Facility are environmental hazard enemies that you cannot kill or block; all you can do is run from them and keep a distance. If a purple orb gets close enough to you, it will start dealing damage. It will slowly follow you everywhere and won’t let you stand in one place. It can start with just one orb but there can even be multiple.
These purple orbs are a hazard you should avoid in a given area. They can trigger and appear randomly in locations inside N’Erud, not just the Void Vessel Facility. These locations include the Vault of the Formless, Putrid Domain, The Dark Conduit, and possibly more.
It is unclear what exactly triggers the orbs, but some players have theorized that it happens due to picking up a random world drop ring in the area. The only way to get rid of the purple orbs in Remnant 2 is to leave the area and or rest at the nearest World Crystal.
