There are now 376 Gloves found in Slap Battles, and Oil Glove is one of the popular ones in the selection for a variety of reasons. The gloves come with their own set of requirements that you must meet before you start taking them to the combat arena. The major highlight of the glove is not its appearance; while it does look like a common barrel, the true highlight is its ability.
Equipping the gloves helps you literally gain the power to spill oil all over the combat arena, and the second ability lets you set everything on fire by releasing a fireball that deals AoE damage. If that is something that you would be interested in, then read on. In this guide, I will go over all the stat details of the Oil Glove and how to effectively use it on the battlefield in Slap Battles.
How to get the Oil Glove in Slap Battles
The only requirement to use the glove is to reach the max slap count of “17,716“. After reaching that magical number, you can interact with the Oil Glove and equip it. The glove is located between the Ping Pong and Chainsaw gloves.
The glove does look like it’s made out of a giant red oil barrel, the type of barrel you see in FPS games when you shoot it, and it blows up the area. If you look at the front of the glove, you will see the tagline “The Big Oil” printed on top with white paint.
Fun Fact: The slap count for the glove is a reference to the Declaration of Independence of the USA, which was signed on July 4, 1776.
How to Use the Oil Glove

With the Oil Glove in hand, jump into the arena, and you will get two buttons on the side of the screen: R to Oil Spill and E to release Fireballs. While they may appear simple, you can be really creative in how you use both abilities in the battle arena.
Oil Spill: Pressing R allows you to use the ability Oil Spill, where you leak oil out of your hand onto the floor. Do note that when you try to walk on an enemy’s oil spillage, you will start slipping, which will lead to your immediate fall. Since everybody will be using the same glove, how do you tell the difference between your oil vs. the enemy’s oil?
The oil might share the same attribute, but the oil spilling from your character will look a bit purple-ish, while the enemy’s oil will be made from pitch black color. Use color as an indicator to judge the oil, and make sure not to stand on enemy oil, or slipping and falling is the second worst thing that can happen in the game, the first thing being getting blown by a fireball.
Flammable!: After setting up the oil trail, press E to release a fireball to set fire to the spilled oil. Anyone who gets caught in the oil trail will be set ablaze. One of the interesting gameplay mechanics here is that you can technically link between two oil spots. If one of your oil patches has fire coming out of it, you can link a normal oil patch to the fire patch to set the normal one on fire. Linking can be done by creating an oil bridge between two patches by simply walking back and forth between them, leaving a trail of oil behind.
Another thing to note: the fireball has an AOE impact, so if you did manage to spill oil in a large area, you can blow up a good chunk of the battle area, targeting most players caught in the radius.
Note: Both of the attacks Oil Spill and Flammable have a cooldown meter, which can be seen on the right side of the screen after using the ability once. A white progress bar will appear on the right; once the bar reaches zero, you can start attacking again.
