Star Wars Zero Company puts focus on building relationships between operators, a simple mechanic that can quickly lead to gaining many benefits for combat and other sets of rewards. While on the surface, the entire system of Bond might seem simple, the complexity of the system lies in its roots. The game provides multiple ways to increase Bond, and we have found some of the best ways to farm Bond easily without putting too much effort.
If you are looking to increase the Bond level of operators, you are in the right place, as here we will take a look at all the ways to increase Bond in Star Wars Zero Company.
What is Bond in Star Wars Zero Company? Explained

Bond acts as a relationship between you and your allies. Each character comes with a relationship bar that goes from 1 to 8, lowest to highest. Being on a larger scale offers more rewards and training benefits such as grenade damage, critical hit chance, and health increases; being on the lower end of the scale cuts you off from the benefits. Bond will also help you gain focus points for those powers and gain new Cross Training. Focus Points can be spent on the Focus Tree to level your talents and specs, and Cross Training gives stat increases.
All the Ways to Level up Bond

- Finishing a Mission: Completing a Mission will earn you 30 Bonds. Focusing on completing missions is one of the best methods to build Bonds with operators.
- Check the Risk Level: Before sending the team to an operation, do take a look at the risk level. If it’s a tough mission, I recommend saving the operator, or the chance of getting hurt is high.
- Talk to Characters: Talking to characters as often as possible leads to some Bond increase; again, not all the time, but you don’t want to miss them.
- Choose required operators: You will come across many operations that require a specific number of operators for completion. Select the ones to start bonding between the operators.
- Upgrading Team Work Node: Upgrade the Teamwork node in the Den to unlock Lounge. This will passively increase the bond level of anyone idle at the Den during the mission. Each operator will gain 5xp in the Lounge. Which doesn’t seem much, but early on, it racks up quite a lot of Bond points.
- #1 Upgrade: Unlock Lounge: Basically, you are unlocking the Lounge. This is the starting option; after unlocking, operators will begin getting a 5 XP Bond bonus during missions.
- #2 Upgrade: Teamwork Assist Damage 1: An assist damage increase of +2.
- #3 Upgrade: Improved Lounge: The third and final upgrade allows an extra +5 Bond gain for operators in the Lounge. Totalling the Bond increase to +10 Bond XP per character.
- Combat:
- Call for Backup: Every time you use a Backup, you will receive +10 Bond between two characters. Each round has a backup limit of twice; per mission, we are looking at +20 Bonds from two separate backup uses (+10 Backup each time).
- Minor Actions: Minor actions provide +4 Bond each time they get used in the round. Just like Call for Backup, minor actions are also capped to 5 uses per round, totalling the overall Bond to +20 (5 times x 4 Bond).
- Reviving Allies: Reviving Allies and fallen teammates during combat also leads to a Bond increase. This is certainly an option, but I would ignore this method, or you will put your teammates’ lives in jeopardy.
- Farming Bond in Combat: The absolute best way to farm Bond is by picking Medic specialization. Its core ability, Combat Stem and Morale Boost (Ultimate), will help you farm Bond in combat. Combat Stem boosts HP, range, and damage of the target ally, and Morale Boost allows allies to restore health per turn. A perfect way to carry out the grind is hostile missions, where the sole objective is to eliminate remaining hostiles. When you’re in these missions, the best course of action is to keep one alive and spam Medic’s Morale Boost and Combat Stem to the ally to start farming Bond in the game.
In short, in Combat you can gain upwards of +40 Bond by performing Backup and Minor Actions, add misison completion +30, and we have the total bond amount set at +70 Bond.
Note: When you are playing a mission that cuts to another mission, the Bond here carries over.
