The most interesting part of the Final Glimpses questline is the Starfield Entangled mission. This eerie and mysterious mission takes you on a multi-dimensional quest where as always you are tasked with saving the universe, well two in this case. This quest is activated as you go on to investigate a distress signal in the Freya system. The signal leads you to Nishina Research Station on Freya 3.
As soon as you arrive at the Research Station in this quest, you’ll find that things there are more otherworldly than usual.
Starfield Entangled quest: Torn between realities
Within seconds of your arrival at the Nishina Research Station, you’ll be introduced to the multidimensional anomaly at the site. While teleporting between two universes, you’ll get to interact with the denizens of both realities. In the Nishina universe, Ethan Hughes, Director Patel, and Maria will help you uncover the issues in their universe while the possible sole survivor of the Cataxi universe Rafael Aguerro will guide you through his.

The Nishina Lab People will help you find the reason behind the distortions and Maria offers a means of controlling them. You can then approach Director Patel who will explain the situation to you. Only one of the two realities can exist and you being the RPG hero here are tasked with choosing which one.
Starfield Entangled quest choices

You have two primary choices to end this mission. You can either shut down the probe in the Nishina reality or in Rafael’s Cataxi reality. Choosing one will collapse the other reality. Either option will have serious consequences in the Final Glimpses questline.
Option 1: Save Nishina
This choice will immediately collapse Rafael’s reality killing him and all the Cataxi in the process. Director Patel commends you for your effort but is also distraught at the fact that someone had to die to ensure their survival. If you further engage in a conversation about Rafael, Patel will assure you that Rafael is remembered by the consortium. You also get some great legendary rewards along with a fairly large sum of credits.
Option 2: Save Rafael
Choosing Rafael, on the other hand, ensures the demise of all Nishina residents. Rafael too is not too excited about your choice of saving him at the cost of several others, but shows his appreciation anyway. He offers you an assorted selection of rewards which are nothing compared to what you get by choosing Nishina. But the greatest perk with this option is that you’ll have the choice of recruiting Rafael as a member of your Starship crew.
Option 3: Save Everyone

Because this is a Bethesda game, you also get an additional option where everyone lives. Finding and executing this option is not that obvious though. This is Bethesda’s way of rewarding you for exploring. In the lower level of the Nishina reality, you can find Rafael’s body underneath a lab. If you find it before making any choice, you can uncover a probe calibration protocol that will give you the instructions to save both realities.
This option involves solving a few of those switch puzzles. Once you’ve found the right frequencies for both realities, you can save both Rafael and Nishina’s residents in the Starfield Entangled quest.
With this option, you also get to recruit Rafael and earn all the legendary Nishina rewards. So, everyone goes home happy including Rafael whose only concern is the role he played in creating the distortion in the first place, but he’ll come around eventually.
