The market for isometric RPGs has increased due to the success of Baldur’s Gate 3 and Divinity: Original Sin 2. Following in their footsteps, we have The Thaumaturge which is described as a “story-rich RPG” with turn-based combat, investigation mechanics, and multiple character development features.
The Thaumaturge Release Date & Time
The Thaumaturge will release on March 4, 2024. There is no official confirmation for the release time of the game but if we were to predict it, we would go with a 10 AM PST/6 PM GMT launch.

The Thaumaturge Platforms
The Thaumaturge will be available on PC, Xbox Series X and Series S, and PlayStation 5. However, at launch, it will only be available for PC and will come to Xbox and PlayStation later in the year.
Will The Thaumaturge Be On Nintendo Switch?
The Thaumaturge will not release on Nintendo Switch, which is disappointing for fans of the handheld console. The developer hasn’t revealed any plans for the game to be released for the Nintendo console.
Will The Thaumaturge Come To PS4 And Xbox One?
The developers have given no indication of The Thaumaturge releasing on last-gen consoles, the PS4 and Xbox One.
Will The Thaumaturge Be On Game Pass?
The Thaumaturge will not be on Game Pass at the time of release. However, there might be some hope in the future.
11 Bit Studios’ previous two games, Frostpunk and This War of Mine have enjoyed success on the Xbox Game Pass. We also know that the developer has signed a deal with Microsoft to bring some titles to the subscription service, so it is possible that The Thaumaturge might follow suit.
Is The Thaumaturge Steam Deck Compatible?
The Thaumaturge currently does not have the verification mark for the Steam Deck as of now. The demo was tested on the system, but the performance wasn’t optimal. Therefore, the chances of it running on the Steam Deck flawlessly are quite low.
Does The Thaumaturge Have Multiplayer?
Since it is a story-driven RPG, The Thaumaturge does not have multiplayer or co-op. It is also unlikely that the game will get a co-op mode in the future since it’s a single-player title.

It should take players approximately 23 hours to complete The Thaumaturge, including both the main story and the side quests.

The Thaumaturge does not have any pre-order bonuses. However, the game will have a digital deluxe edition with goodies that players might want to grab.

This edition only offers the base game. There is no information about the price of this game yet, but we estimate it will be around $60 or less.
Digital Deluxe Edition
There are quite a few goodies one can get if they purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition of The Thaumaturge. Aside from in-game content like a HUD reskin, Fashionable Hairstyle and Facial Hair, and a Luxury Clothing Set, there is downloadable content as well. The DLC includes:
