The XDefiant Pre-Season has kicked off with a bang as many players flood in to experience Ubisoft’s latest free-to-play first-person arena shooter. It shares many similarities with Call of Duty (CoD) as it is a direct competitor, like the loadout system and character levels. So the question is, what is the max player level you can reach in XDefiant, and are there prestige levels, too? Here is what you need to know.
What is the Max Player Level in XDefiant?

Level 50 is the player level cap for the XDefiant Pre-Season. This will be increased after Pre-Season ends and Season 1 starts when Ubisoft adds a similar implementation to CoD’s Prestige system, where you get reset back to level 1 but still retain certain unlocks.
The Pre-Season is set to be six weeks long, so the max level will stay at 50 for those six weeks. Keep in mind that this is separate from the Battle Pass tiers, so there is still much to grind and unlock even after reaching the maximum level in XDefiant.

Not to mention, the weapons in XDefiant have their own levels that go up to 100 levels, giving players a lot to unlock, such as attachments, camos, masteries, etc. Other things, like the weapons themselves and faction characters, are unlocked by completing specific challenges that encourage players to try out different weapon types and faction abilities.
However, players are expressing that some of the game’s leveling, especially the weapon levels, take too long to level up. This isn’t really the case for player levels, but this is expected in a free-to-play game so that players always have something to work towards and unlock.
