A newly formed game development team, Mighty Boy Studio has released an announcement trailer for their upcoming debut fantasy action RPG title, Babylon X.
According to the developers, Babylon X is set in an alternate history of an ancient world where “energy, gravity, and its connections with ancient magic were discovered and led to technological advancements”. The world is dying from an apocalypse, and Samson – a former prophet who is now a runaway slave teams up with Leykah – a young moon cult priestess, and these two are bound to save the world.
The developers aim to convey a simple human story riddled with emotions and a personal tone for players, and during the journey, you will find the protagonists’ development. The game is also said to feature “a robust action combat system with tactical elements, a unique magic casting system, a dynamic semi-open world to explore, solve puzzles and interact with intelligent NPCs.”
There are many key features to be present in the game:
- Customizable Adventurers – A wide range of accessories, gadgets, weapons, abilities, and magic at your disposal so that the player can choose their playstyle
- All-New Fantasy Setting to Explore – The world of Egypt and Babylon is mixed with techno-fantasy. Players will experience a novel story-telling approach to the legend of the Tower of Babel.
- Robust Combat and Magic Systems – A robust action combat with a spell cast system that rewards you to find vulnerabilities on the battlefield, and use the environment to your advantage.
- Role-Playing With Meaningful Choices and Impacts – There is not just black-and-white morality, but you will be faced with many difficult choices in the grey area that make a real impact.
The debut trailer, toward its end, says that Babylon X is coming to “consoles and PC”, so we can expect it to be launched on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC most likely.
