Larian has partially held up its promise of shipping the physical Deluxe Edition of Baldur’s Gate 3 in Q1 2024, but there’s a disappointing update for console owners.
The developer announced via X that the PC pre-orders for BG3 physical edition are now being dispatched. However, those who have preordered the console version will have to wait a little longer.
The company has admitted that the shipping dates for the physical PS5 and Xbox editions of BG3 have been pushed back due to production issues. Larian now expects to start shipping out the discs sometime between April and May.
There’s another surprise for Xbox owners. Instead of the originally planned 3-disc package, Xbox players will now get 4 physical discs due to the massive size of the full game. In contrast, PS5 players will receive the game in 2 discs.
As per the official Larian website, the first wave of the physical edition is sold out. Gamers can still preorder the offering and receive it in the second wave that is expected to ship out in Q2 2024. The price still remains the same at $79.99.
The physical Deluxe Edition of Baldur’s Gate 3 will offer all the extra content found in the Digital Deluxe edition along with some cool physical goodies. This includes the designer game box, game and soundtrack discs, a large game poster, a double-sided cloth map, stickers, and more.
