Today, the Dragon Quest Tact Production Team revealed the game’s end-of-service date: February 29, 2024. This tactical RPG, launched in January 2021, initially got a large following with its charming, chibi-style take on the beloved Dragon Quest series. Essentially, players would need to assemble iconic monsters and heroes like Slime and Terry into strategic formations for turn-based battles.
The announcement stated that after two years of valiant efforts to get Dragon Quest Tact going, the developers have determined that maintaining the desired app experience will become increasingly difficult. Unfortunately, that means the game will soon close on the final chapter. After February 29, 2024, you will not longer be able to play the game.
As part of the closing, the sale of Gems, Metal Cards, and Passports has officially ended. Players can, however, rest assured that they’ll be able to utilize any previously acquired Gems until the curtain falls on the last day of play. Additionally, automatic Passport renewal ceased on December 25, eliminating the need for further cancellation actions.
