September reveal hints toward UFC 5 release in late 2023/early 2024
The previous games in the UFC franchise have released between June and August. However, with EA announcing a full reveal of UFC 5 in September 2023, it’s highly unlikely that they will make the fans wait for more than a year and release the game in June 2024. While October-November 2023 window is jam-packed with several AAA game releases, it’s highly possible that EA Sports wants to get UFC 5 out before the holiday season.
EA Sports has been releasing a UFC game every two years, ever since 2014. Fans were naturally expecting UFC 5 in 2022, however, it seems to have been delayed due to the unfavorable reception of UFC 4. While the third game in this franchise was met with massive commercial and critical success, especially due to the introduction of Knockout Mode, the fourth one failed to meet fans’ exceeded expectations. From poor post-launch support to clunky striking mechanisms, UFC 4 was riddled with issues.

Another popular demand by the fans of the series is getting a PC port for the game. UFC series has been a console-only series, with the last installment released in 2020 on PS4 and Xbox One.
