A new MOBA is on the horizon. Titled Project Loki, it is being developed by Theorycraft Games, with Joe Tung as its lead. Tung has previously worked in Riot and Bungie and has experience of working on popular titles such as League of Legends and Halo.
This upcoming title is set to challenge the existing formula of MOBAs and breaks the 5v5 mold with a more battle royale-like approach. According to play testers, Project Loki is ‘League of Legend meets Apex Legends meets Super Smash Bros’.
Project Loki is a fast-paced shooter-based MOBA
In a nutshell, Project Loki is a squad-based hero battleground game. The developers have promised an enriching and fun gameplay experience worth thousands of hours of joy. The game is meant to be played alongside friends and offers a limitless possibility of creative combat through various new systems. The map of Project Loki is a collection of exciting sky islands, looking akin to battleground in Fortnite.
What sets Project Loki apart from the traditional MOBA games is the super fast pace of the gameplay that’s heightened with whimsical weapons and combat systems. Players can form parties of four and immediately jump into the massive map to lock horns with other online parties. The game will be primarily shooter-based, with lots of other exciting power ups and special abilities for players to unlock.
The visual style for the game seems heavily inspired from the traditional MMORPGs, with hints of battle royale elements sprinkled in. The players can also traverse the giant map of the game using paragliders, hinting that squads can be separated and continue battling multiple parties at the same time. The trailer does not shed light as to what key objectives in Project Loki might be, however, it looks very similar to other popular titles in the battle royale genre, such as Fortnite or Apex Legends.

Many are considering this a step up from the conventional LOL or Dota-like games, and most are happy about the battlerite elements in the game.
i already said league with Battlerite gameplay would be insanely good. but i think this is the best we could get hopefully its not just battleroyale a moba or deathmatch gamemode would be great.
