Almost 4 years after its initial release on PS5, the Sony-exclusive Ghost of Tsushima is getting a PC port in 2024. A Director’s Cut of the samurai action-drama will be launched on Steam and Epic Games Store on May 16.
The port has been developed in collaboration with Nixxes Software and will contain the full game as well as the Iki Island expansion and Legends mode (online multiplayer). To sweeten the experience, Nixxes has made some additional enhancements to leverage the graphical capabilities of the Windows platform.
According to the official PlayStation blog, Ghost of Tsushima on PC will offer unlocked frame rates, ultrawide monitor support (21:9 and 32:9 aspect ratios), and even triple monitor support (48:9). FSR 3 and DLSS 3 are also available along with DLAA/Native AA support for higher-end systems.
While this is the first time Sucker Punch has ventured outside the console realm, Sony has tasted multiple successes on PC over the past few years. The Last of Us Part 1, God of War, Days Gone, and many other highly acclaimed PlayStation titles have made their way to the Windows Platform.
However, Ghost on Tsushima’s PC seems to have been timed just right. There’s a rumor going around that Ghost of Tsushima 2 might be unveiled at a Sony showcase sometime in May. If there’s any truth to this, PS gamers might be in for an amazing year ahead.
Ghost of Tsushima PC version is now up for pre-order on Steam and Epic Games Store for $59.99.
