Microsoft’s 2023 surprise hit Hi-Fit Rush could be on its way to the Nintendo Switch platform, according to the latest rumors on gaming forum Resetera.
This exciting information was buried in a Resetera thread where popular video game leaker Nate Drake claimed “a critically acclaimed Xbox 1st party title” is coming to a competitor console this year. When a user wrote that he bets it will be Hi-Fi Rush for the Switch, lolilolailo simply replied, “And you’ll win.”
I generally don’t take random forum comments seriously, but lolilolailo has a solid track record. The leaker has previously posted accurate information about ATLUS and Persona games on Xbox.
Just like most users on the aforementioned thread, I think Hi-Fi Rush on Switch sounds believable. Microsoft wouldn’t easily give away a solid title like this to Sony. Plus, the nature of Hi-Fi Rush’s rhythm gameplay and mechanics are a much better fit for Nintendo’s handheld platform. With whispers of the Switch 2 growing louder, the new platform could very well benefit from a title like this.
But no matter how reliable a leaker is, I suggest we take this news with a grain of salt until an official confirmation.
