The announcement trailer of Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake, dubbed Metal Gear Solid Delta, was certainly a major highlight of the 2023 PlayStation Showcase. Post the announcement, the developer of the title, Konami, has come forward with several new details regarding this remake in development. One of the major details revealed by the Konami is their collaboration with Virtuos for the remake of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Master Collection.

Virtuos is a video game developer known famously for ports. They have been involved in various projects over the last few years, some of the most prominent ones including the port of Batman: Return to Arkham for PS4, as well as the port of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 HD remaster for PS Vita and PS3. They have also collaborated with Guerilla Games in the past as art consultants for their projects Horizon Zero Dawn, as well as Horizon Forbidden West.

Konami has stated their dedication to keeping the original gameplay mechanics and storyline intact, while transporting the experience to current-gen consoles that allow for enhanced visual and graphic experience, as well as smooth and effortless UX.
While talking to Ethan Gach from Kotaku, a popular gaming news site, a spokesperson from Konami revealed the involvement of Virtuos in development of Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake. Virtuos is working alongside the existing development team of Konami, with the spokesperson claiming,
“The game is fully supported by Virtuos, which is a development company that has been cooperating with the past Metal Gear series.”
Konami has also shed light on their decision to rename the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 to Metal Gear Solid Delta. The developer has clarified that Delta, which means change or difference without making change to the original structure, has proven to be a perfect title for this particular project.
The Delta symbol (Δ) was chosen because its meaning fits the concept of the remake project.

Konami has been consistently revealing details about the upcoming Master Collection, including the fact that the original voice actors for the Metal Gear Solid 3 will be returning to voice the remake as well.
