Lies of P developer Round8 Studio has recently announced the Lies of P x Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty collaboration with Team Ninja Studio, the developer of the Wo Long game. Developers of both games have advised players to stay tuned for more details in the coming days.

Wo Long was released earlier this year, while Lies of P is slated for release on September 19, 2023. Developers and publishers of both titles have tweeted about the upcoming collaboration. However, neither has offered any concrete details as to what this collab might include. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is expected to receive its first DLC on June 29. The developer, Team Ninja Studio has already announced that the title will receive two more expansion packs after the release of the first DLC.
What can we expect from the Lies of P x Wo Long collab?
Both these titles feature several Soulslike components, making this collaboration an exciting thing to look forward to. Lies of P x Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty collab might be part of character skins or customization options in the upcoming Wo Long packs. Players might be able to play as the titular character from Lies of P, brandishing his iconic rapier, or could be offered a special side quest in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty that could include some information or characters from the former.

It could also mean that Wo Long players might receive some specialized weapons, armors, or abilities from the other game as free content nearing September to mark the game’s release. Moreover, the titles also resonate with each other as they present dark and bleak alternative timelines with parallels to actual mythological/historical events. Lies of P reimagines the story of the famous puppet Pinocchio who comes to life, while Wo Long offers a glimpse into an alternative history version of the later stages of the Han Dynasty.
