BT Games, a retailer in South Africa, has just listed Mortal Kombat 1 for pre-orders along with various bonus items. Two of the highlights in this posting include a keyring featuring the Mortal Kombat logo and a balaclava modeled after Baraka, one of the series’ famous characters.
According to the listing, this Balaclava is exclusive to players who purchase the Kollector’s edition of Mortal Kombat 1 from BT Games. The news has generated quite a buzz among hardcore fans of the series, along with some debate over the authenticity of the balaclava. The product features the character’s telltale fangs and demonic grin.

Some fans believe, however, that this could also mean the inclusion of Mileena in the Mortal Kombat 1, who shares the same features as Baraka that are displayed on the balaclava.
Baraka and Mileena are both classic Mortal Kombat characters, and their inclusion in Mortal Kombat 1 has not yet been confirmed by NetherRealm. Players pre-ordering any edition of the game through BT Games website will be able to gain these two collectibles. While several gamers are hoping to see Baraka in Mortal Kombat 1 as a playable character, there are strong chances that he might make an appearance as a Kameo character in the upcoming game.
To see whether its Baraka or Mileena, or just a licensed gift item unrelated to Mortal Kombat 1, fans will have to wait till September 19, 2023, when the game is officially releasing. However, if luck is on fans’ side, one might be able to get the answers to these questions sooner in the upcoming PlayStation Showcase 2023 on May 24.
