UPDATE: Nickelodeon All Star Brawl 2 release date has been officially announced.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 might be officially announced at the upcoming Summer Game Fest, according to a new 4Chan leak.
The anonymous data miner has uncovered some never-heard-before information about the upcoming Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2. According to them, the developers had not anticipated the first game to do so well commercially and have poured some serious budget into the sequel. The leaker believes that we might get an official trailer for the upcoming game that may include certain new elements, such as items and characters. The supposed trailer is also rumored to feature sounds of the voice actors that have joined hands with Fair Play Labs and Ludocity, the developers of the title.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 rumored to feature cross-play
Similar to many of the current-gen PvP fighting games, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 is believed to feature cross-play as well as enhanced netcode. Despite the original’s success, the player base for the first instalment had quickly dried up, leaving the developer no strong reason to develop a cross-play functionality for the first title.
The leaker claims that all the characters from the first installment will be back in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2. These characters are each anticipated to come with four different costumes. Along with the returning cast, 12 brand new characters are also rumored to be making an appearance in the sequel, and the leaker claims to have seen the designs for Squidward and Zuko featured in the new game. Moreover, each character will supposedly have their own stage, however, not every one of these characters will be featured in a stage that is specific to their own series.

Diego Hernandez, the art director for the first instalment of this series, has been posting some funny and ambiguous tweets over the past month. One of the most interesting ones was posted yesterday, where Spongebob Squarepants is seen wearing VR-esque goggles, with the director titling it ‘Vision Pro’. While there is no news about the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 coming to Apple VR, speculations about several other titles making their way to Apple’s Vision Pro headset are definitely enough to intrigue this series’ fans.
