Ahead of the Street Fighter 6 launch on June 2, loads of alternative costumes for the fighting game’s roster of characters have started leaking. One of the most recent leaks came from Twitter user Kujikawai, where they have displayed the alternative costume artwork for AKI and Lord Marisa. There is still uncertainty whether Capcom will include these alternate costumes in the launch version of Street Fighter 6, or if they will be available as DLC post launch.

Marisa’s alt costume in Street Fighter 6 attracts a lot of love
Among the freshly leaked artworks, Marisa’s alternate costume seems to have emerged as a huge hit with the gaming community. Marisa’s alternate costume is a white suit, fashioned with a stylish red and green kerchief or scarf around her neck. Aki, on the other hand, seems to have donned a white ball gown in her alt costume.

However, there is still uncertainty whether these leaks are credible or not. Some fans have opted to view these leaks as fakes, while others are wondering whether these concept art-looking pieces have been added in the final version. There are also some that believe this whole thing might be a ruse.
Street Fighter series has a history of releasing a massive number of characters that feature countless alternative costumes. Some of these were unlockable in-game in several previous versions, while others were offered as DLCs in the form of character combo packs.
With Capcom using new ways for players to download Street Fighter 6, it is unsure whether these will be available in all versions at the launch. The developer has announced that it will offer two versions of the game’s single player version, thereby allowing players to choose between World Tour version or the Fighting Ground version. Whether these costumes will be available with either of these versions or strictly as DLCs, only time will tell.
Street Fighter 6 is set to release on June 2, 2023 for PS4 & PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
