Popular leaker Silknigth has posted a new leak on X, alleging that Sony might soon announce the PC port for The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered. In their post, Silknigth mentioned that the announcement is “expected next month”. The leaker wasn’t able to confirm the exact date.
This rumor comes mere days after Silknigth leaked the Ghost of Tsushima PC port ahead of its official announcement. But while the X user has had a fairly decent track record so far, Sony themselves haven’t confirmed anything yet.
On Silknigth’s latest X post, a commenter suggested TLOU Part 2 Remastered PC port may release alongside the season 2 of the TLOU HBO show. To this, the leaker chimed in saying that “it’s possible they won’t have to wait that long.”
To put things into perspective, TLOU Part 2 released in June 2020. The remastered version was released in January 2024 to take advantage of the PS5’s advanced hardware capabilities. The usual gap between the PS and PC releases of Sony exclusives is about 4 years, which makes me feel Slilnigth’s latest leak has a lot of substance to it.
The leaker also claimed that the gap between the announcement of the PC game and its release will be “longer than usual”. On a Resetera thread discussing the new leak, some users suggested Sony may plan the PC release of TLOU 2 Remastered between October to November this year. There are also some unverified murmurs about God of War: Ragnarok coming to PC this year.
One thing is for sure: If all of this turns out to be true, Sony has major cash cows in its hands this year.
