Bohemia Interactive, known for creating Arma and DayZ, has revealed that their creative sandbox adventure game Ylands will be launching on the Nintendo Switch. Players can look forward to downloading the game from the Nintendo eShop starting June 20th, 2024.
Ylands: Nintendo Switch Edition will give players a large open world to explore, featuring different islands, diverse wildlife, and countless possibilities for crafting and building. Luckily, players can still sail across the seas, find new islands, and collect resources to craft various tools, build detailed ships and structures, and even create comfortable homes. The game includes a light survival aspect, where players need to manage their health and hunger as they explore and construct this delightful world.

The Nintendo Switch edition of Ylands is made for offline play, providing a safe and enjoyable experience for players of all ages. Unlike the PC version, which is free-to-play, the Ylands: Nintendo Switch Edition will be a premium title priced at $24.99 USD or €24.99 EUR. This model involves a one-time purchase for unlimited play and removes microtransactions and pay-to-progress mechanics, with all future updates included for free. Moreover, the offline nature of the game ensures a secure environment for younger players, free from negative online interactions and gore.
Ylands: Nintendo Switch Edition offers two different modes for gameplay: Adventure and Creative. In Adventure mode, players can experience a story-driven journey through the game world and its challenges. On the other hand, Creative mode provides a sandbox environment where players are free to unleash their creativity and build whatever they want.
