As you make your way through the unique worlds of Remnant 2, you will stumble across many creatively crafted puzzles. One such can be found in Postulant’s Parlor located in the Losomn realm. This puzzle is similar to a game of Tic Tac Toe and there are multiple solutions to his puzzle based on what rewards you want. Solving the Tic Tac Toe puzzle in the Postulant’s Parlor might feel like cracking intricate codes, akin to the challenges faced when unlocking the mysterious Aphelion in Remnant 2.

How to Solve Postulant’s Parlor Tic Tac Toe Puzzle in Remnant 2
To solve the Postulant’s Parlor puzzle, you will have to defeat the AI Game Master by having three of your white pieces in a row like in the picture above. This is similar to how you need three of X or O’s in a single line in Tic Tac Toe. It can be three in a row in any order, it doesn’t have to be exactly as shown above. But, there is more at play here than you can initially see.
If you take a look at the map of Postulant’s Parlor, the entire level is divided into a 3×3 grid like the board of a Tic Tac Toe game. As you move your white pieces around while the AI moves his black pieces, you will hear noises in the background. These are doors opening and closing based on the position of the pieces. Here is how you can understand this better, using the image below.
The rooms on the map, which the white pieces on the Tic Tac Toe table correspond to, will open up. For example, if a white piece is in position 6, it will open the doors of the corresponding room on the map which is room 6 in the picture above. Similarly, when the black pieces are in any given position, the door to the corresponding room will close.

Note: You can do this in any order, even after defeating the Game Master.
- Royal Hunting Bow: Obtained by defeating the Game Master at his own game by getting three white pieces in a row.
- Fae Royal Armor Set: Found in Room 3 from the picture above which is the top right room when facing the Game Master’s room. To unlock the door, a white piece should be on Position 3 which corresponds to the position of the room on the map.
- Game Master’s Pride Ring (Co-op only): Found in Room 7 from the picture above, the white piece needs to be in Position 7 which will result in the black pieces being positioned in a way that will block your way to this room from the Game Master’s room, which is why you will need another player to already make their way to this room while you are prepping your white piece to be in that position.
- 2x Random Items: These can be in any of the 9 rooms so you will have to check them manually to get it. Having a white piece in the corresponding room you want to check will open the room.
