RGG Studio has recently released a brand new trailer for Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. The trailer sheds light on various aspects of the upcoming title, including an in-depth look at the story, as well as new gameplay elements, such as large-scale brawls, a live-action rendition of Cabaret clubs players can enjoy, two distinct combat styles, and loads of new mini-games.
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will feature two combat styles
According to the new trailer, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will feature two distinct combat styles that players can switch at a moment’s notice to offer a smooth combat experience. The first one is the Agent Style, which allows players to access a massive arsenal of cool gadgets and high-tech weapons that deal massive amounts of damage. This style can be perfect for dealing with a mob of oncoming enemies and the trailer shows the protagonist using a horde of weaponized drones, IEDs disguised as cigarettes, and electrified binding wires to absolutely obliterate a mass of thugs.
The second and more traditional combat system, reminiscent of earlier Like a Dragon titles is the Yakuza style. This style enables players to engage in high-paced and cinematic melee, close-range combat. The trailer depicts a host of new combo moves with colorful accentuations that deal aggressive close-range damage.
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will include a large number of mini-games
The trailer also showcases a number of new mini-games that players can enjoy in the Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. These include karaoke akin to Guitar Hero, a wide variety of retro video games playable in-game, and live-action Cabaret story segments wherein players can visit Cabaret clubs and even form romantic relationships with live-action models. The trailer suggests that these live-action segments will have considerable depth, as players can strengthen their relationships with models and engage in dating, dining, and drinking, and slowly participate in more intimate activities with them.

The developer RGG Studio also revealed that Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is now open for pre-orders and gamers who pre-order the title will gain access to the Legendary Fighter Pack.
