Is Bloodborne 2 Currently In The Works?
At the time of writing this article, it is not yet confirmed by FromSoftware that they are actively working on the next Bloodborne title. Currently, FromSoft has a lot on its plate with the next Elden Ring DLC set to come out soon and also with the recent release of Armored Core 6.
However, it can still be possible that early development on the next Bloodborne has already started. Contrary to what most people believe, conceptualizing and planning a game takes far longer than you would think it does. And the next Bloodborne could be in this early stage of development.
When Can We Expect Bloodborne 2 To Be Released?
The simple answer is well… not anytime soon. As mentioned earlier, FromSoftware is currently focused on the Elden Ring DLC called Shadow of the Erdtree which will be their next release. After that, there is a possibility for the next Dark Souls or Demon Souls game as well, as there is yet to be a current-gen Dark Souls game to come out.
However, since Bloodborne is a PlayStation-exclusive title, Sony plays a big part in the release of the next Bloodborne as well. If Sony pushes for the title to be made sooner rather than later, we might even see it by next year in 2024. If that is the case then the next Bloodborne could already be in development.
So in conclusion, we could see Bloodborne 2 next year or it could even be two or three more years of wait. But one thing is for sure, due to all the hype and demand for it, it will be a priority for FromSoft for its next set of releases.
