CI Games has trademarked the title for a Lords of the Fallen sequel called ‘Death of The Fallen’ on January 3, 2024, with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, according to Kurakasis on Twitter.
Apart from this, the Polish developer and publisher also seems to be working on two brand new IPs, an open-world survival horror game likely to be named ‘Island: Gate to Gehenna’, and another multiplayer PvE tactical FPS, codenamed Project Scorpio, which will potentially adopt a live service model post-launch.
This information about multiple future CI Games uncovered by Kurakasis comes from various presentations by the developer, trademark registrations, job listings, and LinkedIn profiles. According to them, CI Games is working on four possible titles, two sequels, and two new IPs.
A sequel to Lords of the Fallen, currently codenamed Project III, is claimed to be developed by Hexworks, the same company that made Lords of the Fallen. According to Kurakasis, the game will be developed using Unreal Engine 5, and the release is slated for 2026. Although they were unable to find the officially declared platforms, they believe this game will be released on PC, as well as current-gen consoles of the time.
Another sequel, that is codenamed Project Sniper Ghost Warrior Next, presumably the next installment of CI Games’ Sniper Ghost Warrior series, is set to be developed by Underdog Studio, also using Unreal Engine 5.
According to Kaurakasis, CI Games is also working on a premium multiplayer, tactical PvE shooter, currently codenamed Project Scorpio. This FPS is also claimed to be developed by the Sniper Ghost Warrior developer Underdog Studio using Unreal Engine 5.
The game is also said to be slated for a Gaming as a Service (GaaS) model post-launch. Through this model, players can avail in-game purchases, with additional support for events and expansions, similar to popular live service games like Valorant, Overwatch, or Fortnite.
