Capcom has released a new trailer to announce the launch of Street Fighter 6 open beta. According to the developer, this open beta is set to begin on May 19 at 07:00 UTC and will be playable till May 22, 07:00 UTC.
Furthermore, Capcom has also announced that players will be able to download the Street Fighter 6 open beta prior to its launch, starting from May 16 at 07:00 UTC. The open beta will be available to players for 72 hours and will feature cross-platform play, enabling players to test their mettle against each other on all types of consoles.
Street Fighter 6 open beta to begin on May 19
The open beta announcement trailer depicts the familiar colorful and oversaturated world of Street Fighter series, with its iconic graphic style. It also introduces the playable characters one can choose in the game.
Players can choose from 8 different characters in this open beta experience, which will include a battle hub experience. This aligns with the second closed beta launched by Capcom for Street Fighter 6. However, this time, players will also have access to online cross-play. This means players across the world can play with each other, regardless of the platform. Apart from battle hub, players can also enjoy other modes, such as open tournaments, casual matches, and ranked matches.

Street Fighter 6 is launching on June 6, and this new open beta will offer players an enjoyable taste of the title few weeks before the full game is out. To avail this open beta experience, players will have to –
- Register through Capcom website and gain a CAPCOM id
- Link this id to their platforms (PS/Xbox X/S)
- Download the game after May 16.
