How To Solve Maja’s Quest in Enotria The Last Song
To solve Maja’s Quest in Enotria and unlock the Life & Death trophy, you need to give her the Continuity Seed and exhaust her dialogue.
Players must follow a specific series of tasks, battles, and interactions with key characters to complete the quest.
Step 1: Obtain the Key to the Crimson Cloister
To start your journey to Maja, you must first obtain the Key to the Crimson Cloister. You can get it by progressing through the game until you reach the Monastery of Maja.
The Monastery becomes accessible after defeating Curtis, the Prince of Laughter. Once there, follow the path and take the tree root that leads you to a ruined building. The area will be filled with enemies and obstacles. After defeating them and moving forward, you will find a Waypoint and a shiny item. That is the Key to the Crimson Cloister.
Step 2: Defeat Vermiglio, the Red Prior
Now that you have the key, jump down to the Crimson Cloister Gate and open it. Inside, you’ll encounter one of the game’s tougher bosses—Vermiglio, the Red Prior.
To reach Vermiglio, you must follow the tree roots. Keep an eye on the right until you spot a few wooden barrels and crates. Smash them, then use your Ardore Burst to stomp the ground.
It will reveal a path. Move ahead until you arrive at the melancholic Overlook Waypoint, right before the boss battle. The fight with Vermiglio will take place in an underground church.
Step 3: Retrieve the Sacrificial Knife
After defeating Vermiglio, head back to the Theater of the Masks Hub. Inside the Hub, you’ll find a chamber filled with roses and greenery.
Go into this chamber, and you’ll find the Sacrificial Knife. Without the knife, you will be unable to access the secret area where Maja resides.

Step 4: Enter the Old Sanctuary and defeat Maja
After getting the Sacrificial Knife, return to the Prior’s location and approach the statue of Maja. Upon interacting with it, you will receive a message that leads you to the Old Sanctuary. It is Maja’s hidden location.
Use the Sacrificial Knife to unlock the path to the Old Sanctuary, where you’ll face Maja herself. Defeating Maja will cause her to teleport to the Theater of the Masks Hub. You can continue your interactions with her here.
Step 5: Speak to Adso in Necropolis
After delivering Medea’s final letter, your next task is to find Adso. He is an NPC located in Necropolis within Falesia Magna.
To reach him, head towards the Coastal Horror Knot. You will need to move through hordes of skeletal enemies, climbing several broken pillars. Once you find Adso, he will ask you the question: “Tell me, dreamwalker. Is it time to wake from this false existence?”
You will have the choice to either agree or disagree with him. This decision doesn’t affect the major events or plot. Regardless of your choice, you’ll receive the Emerald Maiden Sword as a reward.
Step 6: Speak to Budella in the Coliseum
After interacting with Adso, your next destination is the Coliseum in Falesia Magna. Here, you will need to find and speak with Budella. Speaking to Budella is important for allowing you to progress in the quest.
Step 7: Trigger Fauno Quest and Obtain the Key to the Sunken Monastery
To complete Maja’s quest in Enotria, you’ll need the Continuity Seed. In order to obtain it, you need to complete the Fauno quest.
First, teleport to Litumnia after defeating Zanni, the First Mask. Follow the docks in Litumnia until you come across the Gran Paguro, a Coastal Horror Boss. Defeat Gran Paguro and continue to the end of the area.
After you find Fauno, speak with him. He will give you the Key to the Sunken Monastery, which is an important item in your journey.
Step 8: Find the Continuity Seed
Using the Key to the Sunken Monastery, teleport to the Field of Beginnings Reality Knot. Then, make your way through the sunflower field. Head right, then follow the path to the left until you reach a closed gate.
Use the key to unlock the gate, where you will discover the Continuity Seed. This item is essential to get the Life & Death Trophy.
Step 9: Complete Maja’s Quest and Unlock the Life & Death Trophy
Now that you have the Continuity Seed return to the Theater of the Masks Hub. Maja is now located here since you have defeated her in the Old Sanctuary.
Exhaust her dialogue, and give her the Continuity Seed to complete her quest. Be sure to speak with her multiple times to ensure the dialogue is fully exhausted. Once her dialogue is completed, you will have successfully unlocked the Life & Death Trophy.
