When facing undead forces in SpiritVale, the Priest class stands out the most. Furthermore, they’re incredibly versatile when it comes to combating single or multiple targets. Since I love the power of arcane in RPGs, I thought of going all in on this new title as well.
If you’re the type to play support and be an important member of the party, but don’t know how to, I’m here to help. In this guide, I’m going to share tips and strategies to make your journey easier. With that said, let’s get into it.
How To Level Up To Become a Priest in SpiritVale

To specifically become a Priest in SpiritVale, you’ll have to start your journey early. This class specifically scales to Intelligence, so put your points there. My suggestion would be to scale Vitality and Intelligence equally, so you can take down early enemies in no time.
Furthermore, advancing from the initial Acolyte role to a fully realized Priest demands strict adherence to a specific progression path. If you’re dead set to progress with this class, you should prioritize the following skills:
- Holy Light (Level 5): Strike an enemy down with holy force.
- Benediction (Level 5): Buffs nearby allies with divine protection and raises their attributes for a short period of time.
- Faith (Level 5): Buffs damage over Undead and Shadow enemies, while reducing damage received.
- Sacred Aegis (Level 5): Protects an ally by forming a barrier.
- Increased Recovery (Level 5): Buffs MP recovery.
- Heal (Level 5): Restores an ally’s health and adds Regeneration.
- Haste (Level 5): Increases ally movement and attack speed.
- Divine Grace (Level 5): Improves HP and MP recovery of allies nearby.
- Codex Mastery (Level 10): Increases damage dealt with magic and improves healing.
Early Game Strategy
If you want my advice, it’s best to farm for Novice Set, Potions, and Golden Hoop when you’re in Sunny Meadows. Once you’ve done that, proceed to Festering Woods and craft the Grimmore of Binding Light and Scroll Charm.
Grimmore of Binding Light buffs your Holy Light damage, and even removes knockback. On top of that, Scroll Charm prevents spellcasting from being interrupted, so you can keep going without being stopped. This would be your goal until Level 25.
Also, make sure to farm Vulkanite Shards, because you’ll need them to level up Grimmore of Binding Light, since you’re going to use it as your main weapon. If you’re just starting, I’d say to make it at least to +6 to improve your magic damage.
Mid Game Strategy
Your focus needs to be diverted towards your focus towards movement, because casting magic takes time and you need to avoid your enemies. For that, travel to Bunny Woods and grab the Bunny Cup and Bunny Backpack. Each of these equipmens grant you 10% movement speed from each.
If you don’t know how to get to Bunny Woods, you’d have to enter the upper portal in Festering Woods. As you progress into Level 30, try to farm for equipment and artifacts like the Arcanum Artifact Set (Forest Field 1 or 2) and the Spelltread Set (found in Fairy Glen). Farming would become much easier if you get these sets along with (Pre-Cast Level 5). With the current build, I’d suggest you farm the Goblin Cave 1 until you reach around Level 50.
Late Game Strategy
As you step into the Level 50 threshold, it’s time you call yourself a proper Priest. Reach Wafer’s Landing and talk to the Priest Master NPC to allocate yourself as one. Now that you have a job, you’d want to go back to Goblin Cave and defeat a few of them to increase your job level. This is required because you’d want Skill Points by advancing your Job Level.
What Kind of Priest Build Should You Go For?

The type of Priest you’d want to become in SpiritVale depends on your playstyle. Whether you want to be a support Priest or a battle-ready one depends on how you use your stat points. Here are the stat distributions, gear, and key skills for each type:
Support Priest
If you’re going for only support, which includes healing and support to your party during raids, then I’d suggest this build.
- Stats: 99 INT, 99 VIT.
- Gear: Tom of the First Hymn or Codex of Revelation; Cleric, Sky Strider, or Safety sets.
- Key Skills:
- High Heal (Level 10): Ability that enables your character to heal people with a massive burst.
- Sanctuary (Level 10): Raises a tree that heals allies over time, while repelling undead forces.
- Zeal (Level 5): Buffs teammates to increase their damage over time.
- Salvation (Level 5): Resurrects your allies.
- Status Recovery (Level 5): Buffs friends with immunity to Stun, Frozen, Burning, and Decay status.
- Guardian Spirit (Level 5): Reduces incoming ranged damage by -100%.
- Sacred Ground (Level 5): Reduces damage taken from Ground Effects.
