If you have been travelling a lot on foot and come across tunnels with no entry, it’s meant to be like that. Like most other useful items and interactables in the game, you’ll have to complete challenges. If you want to unlock these tunnels and gain a shiny achievement, I will tell you exactly how with this guide. So pack your backpacks, you’re in for a hustle.
Unlocking the Tunnel System in Big Walk

To unlock the tunnel system spread across the Big Walk map, you need to complete the Yellow Tower. The process is similar to the Red Tower puzzle; all you need are five red gourd objects, which you get by completing changes around the world (you can get one by completing the 4166,1899 puzzle).
How you get to the Yellow Tower is entirely up to you. Whether you take the ski lift or make the journey on foot, the choice is yours. Personally, I prefer walking while messing around with my buddies, so that’s always my go-to.
Now, once you reach the Yellow Tower, place the five gourds you found in their respective slots. With that done, use the created key to open the Yellow Door (below Black Tower). This will unlock the entire tunnel network around the map. However, doing it won’t unlock the achievement.

Travel to the tunnel entrance and enter to trigger the Big Tunnel Achievement. Remember, tunnels are dark no matter what time you visit. The good news is, at every tunnel entrance you’ll find a torch to navigate.
Other than the achievement, tunnels add extra shortcuts, and you don’t have to continuously trek around the terrain. While walking is the main purpose, this gameplay element does help save time. The interiors of the tunnel also have signs that indicate where you’re headed, so make sure to pay attention.
