To shake up the Modern Warfare 4 meta, Infinity Ward has introduced Apex Attachments to its latest multiplayer experience. Designed to offer drastic changes in weapon behaviour, Apex Attachments resemble Conversion Kits and Aftermarket Parts from previous Call of Duty releases. While they are similar to features from old games, Apex Attachments offer even greater levels of customisation options when fine-tuning your loadout. Here, find out everything you need to know about Modern Warfare 4 Apex Attachments, including how to unlock them and the benefits they can bring.
What are Modern Warfare 4 Apex Attachments?

Infinity Ward describes Apex Attachments as “specialised unlocks” capable of altering several characteristics of a weapon. Whether it’s handling, firing behaviour, or damage output, the attachments go beyond the normal set that are available to create a build that suits your style of play perfectly.
Unlike Conversion Kits and Aftermarket Parts, Apex Attachments don’t use one of the five attachment slots in the Gunsmith. This allows you to use an Apex Attachment on your preferred weapon in addition to a combination of five.
So far, the developer has shared a handful of Apex Attachments available in Modern Warfare 4 multiplayer. For example, the ISO Nightshade submachine gun’s Apex Attachment is ISO Trace ammunition. When you hit the intended target, RFID signals transmit back to the weapon’s built-in optic display, giving you the ability to track down the weakened opponent and secure the kill.
All Apex Attachments offer something different. Some introduce explosive slugs for even more power, while others include blade modules offering quick access to throwing knives for stealthy eliminations.
How to Unlock Apex Attachments in Modern Warfare 4
The process of obtaining Apex Attachments in Modern Warfare 4 is as easy as applying an XP token before a match. All you need to do is reach the maximum level with a weapon. Once done, you’ll have the ability to equip the attachment alongside five others to build a loadout that perfectly suits your preferred way of playing.
Depending on their performance, I expect some Apex Attachments to become an integral part of the meta once you manage to reach the required level to unlock them.
