You will probably want to increase Town Population as quickly as possible in Graveyard Keeper 2. There are a bunch of reasons to do this, but not many ways to accomplish it. So, it is imperative that you fill your houses as much as possible to invite more people and fill your town with more workers who work towards your cause. Below, you can learn the easiest way to increase the population of your town in the game.
When To Increase Town Population in Graveyard Keeper 2
Before I show you how to increase the population of your town, I must ensure that you are familiar with the calendar system of the game. One in-game week is split into seven days, each of which is labeled after one of the seven deadly sins.
Each day corresponds to a certain activity you can perform. For the purpose of increasing your town population, you have to wait until it is Lust Day, denoted by ♀. You can see this in the top left corner of the image above. This day is specifically programmed in the game for you to increase the population.
How To Increase Town Population in Graveyard Keeper 2
On Lust Day, enter the Dockside Club (in the Port area) to find Linda inside. She can exchange Green Scrolls and, in return, attract new residents to the town. The number of people she can bring in depends on the number of Green Scrolls you have and the dialogue you select:
- 1 Green Scroll -> 1 New Person
- 3 Green Scrolls -> 3 New Persons
- 5 Green Scrolls -> 5 New Persons
- 10 Green Scrolls -> 10 New Persons
How To Get Green Scrolls in Graveyard Keeper 2
You can get Green Scrolls by building and repairing houses within the town. The number of scrolls you get is based on the size of the house you repair. Small houses give only 1 Green Scroll but cost less to repair, at least compared to the bigger houses. In contrast, medium houses give you 3 Scrolls, and large houses give a whopping 10 Scrolls.
Note: Only fixing houses gets you these scrolls. Try to avoid fixing other types of buildings if you purely want to farm Green Scrolls. Moreover, I would recommend that you try repairing large houses instead of medium-sized houses, as they give you more Scrolls compared to the cost needed to fix them.
Why Do You Need To Increase Town Population in Graveyard Keeper 2
There are many reasons as to why you will want to increase the population of your town. Firstly, the Town Gratitude (which you receive by completing Town Orders) maximum limit increases based on the number of residents in your town. Raising this level is key to various fields of progression and even unlocking certain quests.
Moreover, more people in your town simply means more people to help out with various tasks you might have planned in the future. Therefore, there’s no reason why you would not want to increase the number of people taking up residence in your town.
