Getting around in Aion 2 doesn’t have to be boring. If you wish to take in the scenic beauty of Atreia, then taking the time to fly around might not be a bad idea. Besides walking or fast traveling from place to place, you can also get wings to add to your gear set and fly. There are several different wing types to choose from, and the game does not skimp on adding special wings to the growing list.
But obtaining wings isn’t very straightforward, as there are many different methods that will help you get the wings of your choice. If you are lucky, you can win them from events or from unlocking chests, and there are other guaranteed methods as well.
Besides getting wings, you also need to learn how to use them and what they actually do, and this guide will explain everything there is to know about getting and using wings in Aion 2.
All Ways to Get Wings in Aion 2
You get wings in Aion 2 by exploring and completing quests, participating in events, checking the Auction store, winning in PVP, and using Substance Morph. Let’s look at each of these one by one.
Exploration and Completing Quests

Exploration should be your key focus when it comes to collecting Wings in Aion 2. The most common way to get wings is from chests and Hidden Cubes. Not all Hidden Cubes and chests offer wings, but I suggest unlocking any that you come across to increase your chances.
Similarly, you will get wings from quest rewards too, especially from ascension quests. Your first wings will be obtained during The Power in the Lake ascension quest. In short, progress through the game to find wings and add them to your collection.
Participating in Events
Keep checking your Aion 2 event calendar frequently and participate in them to find wings. Some events will even have their rewards mentioned in the store, so work through them to find out which event will offer the required points to purchase the wing of your choice. The wings you get during events might be limited edition too, which is why you need to work on them when you have the time.
Check the Auction Store

If you are lucky, you could find players who are willing to trade the wings to you if you have something to exchange. You could also purchase wings from other players using the in-game currency. Keep checking the Marketplace in Aion 2 to find out if anyone is willing to put their wings out for sale.
Substance Morph

Some selected wings, like the Kromede Wings or Glorious Wings, can only be obtained by combining two different materials. If you head over to the Substance Morph section in the menu and scroll down, you will find certain wings listed here. Select them and check out the materials required on the right side to know the requirements.
PvP Modes
Participating in various PvP activities like Battlefield, Arena, and Abyss also has a chance to drop Wings. Some wings, like the Warrior or Conqueror wings, can only be obtained through PvP battle. Some battles involve several servers, while some will be faction-based.
How to Find Wing Source

To save you some time, you can also check out the Wings section in the main menu and select any wing from here. On the right side of the screen, select the Source option to find out how to quickly obtain the wing in question. So far, the Lesser Daeva Wings are the easiest to obtain, since they’re tied to the quest mentioned above.
Wing Effects Explained
Each wing also offers different effects, which can also be viewed on the same screen after selecting the Wings option in the main menu. As you select each wing, check out the right side of the screen to view two different categories. You have the Equipped Effects and Owned Effects under each wing.
Equipped effects are what you will get if the wing is equipped on your character, while Owned Effects are passive effects that are applied even if you don’t equip the wing on your character. There is another section on the far right called All Applied Effects. This section details a culmination effect your character has on them pertaining to all the wings currently owned.
How to Fly

After obtaining your first set of wings, you will learn how to fly through the main quests. Equip your desired wing from the Wing section of the menu, then press the V key to start flying. Flying will take stamina to stay afloat, so keep an eye on the white bar beside your character while in the air.
Once the white bar has run out, your character will lose their wings and fall down. You need to wait for the cooldown to end, which is indicated by the green circle around the wing icon at the bottom of the screen. You will find the Wing icon on the left side of the hotbar, and you need to wait until the green circle fills up the area around the icon before you can press V again and take flight.
There is also a sprint option while flying, and you can fly faster by pressing the Shift key. But this will take up more stamina than usual, so be careful if you wish to use this command. Not all wings are created equal, and some wings will offer higher flying power than others. Do check out each wing stat in the Wings menu before equipping them if you want to use flight as your primary mode of transport.
